Drama therapy combines tools from theatre with approaches based in psychotherapy to provide opportunities for telling and recreating our stories. Discovering our creative vitality, we gain understanding of the roles we play and insight into life’s problems.
Dance-Movement Therapy is based in the knowledge that the body and mind are inseparable. The unity, harmony and empathy we experience through body awareness and simple movements are combined with psychotherapeutic counselling for healing and personal growth.
SPIRITUAL DIRECTION provides a contemplative environment to explore the spiritual dimension of our lives by deepening our relationship to the Divine, however we may name this. It helps us to find the peace, creativity, compassion and freedom at the core of all being.
Somatic Trauma Therapy
Trauma enters our lives in many ways. Accidents of all kinds, surgeries, criminal incidents, and abuse are only a few examples.
Often words alone are not enough for healing, the body-mind needs to be engaged. Body oriented trauma therapy can increase our ability to live a healthy, satisfying life because it understands that our bodies, minds, emotions and spirits are completely inter-related. A phase-oriented treatment encourages all parts of the self to heal. The process is carefully paced so each step can be integrated into a growing foundation of strength. authentic movement is the practice of movement meditation in the presence of a supportive witness. It is used for personal growth, creative process and spiritual practice, and offers the gift of feeling seen and received with complete acceptance.
